Quick update
I can’t believe I’m doing this.
The sun sets, but God’s faithfulness doesn’t.
Let’s get after it.
If you're new here, welcome.
Each week, I spend 10–15 hours deep in one chapter of the Bible—pulling it apart, digging into every word, and then putting it back together so it's clear, honest, and easier to understand. And then I send those notes out into the world.
But that's about to change 😳
See, I didn’t start out writing for the world. I started studying and writing for myself.
The Bible had come ALIVE and I couldn’t stop talking about it.
I’d share what I was learning with my wife.
Verse by verse.
Night after night.
Eventually I realized… I had to share it with you too. So I started writing on January 1, 2024.
It’s now been a year and a half. I’ve gone through every chapter of the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts. And it’s been the most faith-transforming stretch of my life.
What started with zero readers grew to 850 by the end of 2024.
Six months later, 3,183 people have checked in from 23 U.S. states and 21 countries.
And through all of that growth, these weekly Bible notes have always been free.
And they always will be.
From the beginning, I knew my writing would change. I wanted it to.
Back then, I was breaking down a few verses here and there.
Today, I unpack
every
single
verse.
When I started, it was more of a devotional.
Now?
It’s more like a commentary. But for the rest of us. For regular people.
So, I'm going back to the beginning. Back to the Gospel of Luke.
To edit.
To rewrite.
To bring it up to the standard I know God is calling me to.
When that’s done, I’ll release it as a digital book. Something you can keep, read, and share. That version will be available for purchase.
But these weekly notes?
Still free.
Always.
That means I’ll be taking a short break to work on it before we dive into Romans. And by “short,” I mean 30–45 days.
I’ll still send you something to soak in each week. Just enough to keep us both close to the Word and challenged in our walk with the Lord.
And in the meantime, don’t hesitate to start reading Romans. It’s one of the most powerful, life-changing books in the Bible.
When I get back. We’ll hit it hard.
There’s one more thing I’ve been working on behind the scenes…
While running our ministry in Guatemala...
While traveling back and forth to Cuba...
While studying, writing, and sending out these Bible notes each week...
I’ve been working on something huge. And I’m so excited to finally share it.
It started as something for new believers and young people. But every bit of feedback has said the same thing:
This is for anyone hungry for the Word.
It’s called Uncovering Scripture: The Story Underneath the Story.
And since you're already on this list, you’ll be the first to hear when it releases.
Here’s some feedback I’ve gotten so far:
"I thought I knew the stories. But George slows it down and shows you something right in front of you. Something you’ve missed. I’m finally excited to read the Bible again."
— Brian T.
"This doesn’t feel like study. It feels like discovery. Every chapter had a line or image that stopped me in my tracks. And the final section on God’s character? That part stays with me all day."
— Kristen M.
"I read it alongside my teens, and they’re actually into it. It doesn’t talk down to them or over explain. It just draws them in. And honestly, it’s changed how I read the Bible too."
— Janelle K.
I can’t wait to get it into your hands.
I love you,
George
